200 George Street End of Trip Facilities

fjcinteriors has completed the refurbishment of the end-of-trip facilities at 200 George Street, the EY Centre, the Sydney commercial tower designed by fjcstudio and completed in 2016.

The project reimagines the end-of-trip experience as a premium environment in which occupants can arrive, refresh and reset. The new male, female and accessible facilities draw inspiration from the building’s harbour setting and the sandstone excavated from the site. Light timber joinery, deep ink-blue mosaic tiles and bronze metal accents form a rich, tactile palette that extends into the lift lobby arrival.

The experience begins in a renewed lift lobby, a threshold space shaped by deep, atmospheric tones, a timber-lined ceiling, textured wall coverings and softly glowing glass sconces. At each entrance, comfortable lounge seating, abundant planting and a saturated blue palette create a warm moment of arrival before occupants move into the facilities beyond.

Within the amenities, dark timber-toned shower zones offer a sense of privacy and calm. Generous shower cubicles are lined in inky blue tiles, while carefully composed lighting transforms the daily routine into a quiet moment of pause and renewal.

Bespoke island vanities bring together jewel-toned stone, finely textured mosaic tiles and feature lighting, providing ample room for occupants to prepare for the day ahead. Expanded lockers are finished in pale timber tones that complement the extensive wall panelling and bring warmth and continuity throughout the space.

Lighting is treated as a material in its own right, calibrated from space to space to enrich the atmosphere, illuminate texture and support everyday comfort.

Beyond the amenities, refurbished lift lobbies and fire stairs, a new wayfinding and signage package, and upgraded bicycle parking improve movement and accessibility throughout the building.

Together, the works create an environment that supports wellbeing, convenience and performance, elevating the smallest daily rituals through thoughtful design.
