fjcstudio is thrilled to announce that Darlington Public School has been awarded the Building of the Year at the 2024 World Architecture Festival.
This is our second time receiving this award, having previously won in 2013 for the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. We are honoured to be the first practice in the world to achieve this distinction twice.
This recognition celebrates fjcstudio’s commitment to innovative and sustainable design, firmly rooted in community values and cultural integration.
We extend our thanks to The Department of Education and the Darlington Public School community for their trust and collaboration, and to the talented team of designers, consultants and contractors whose dedication made this achievement possible.
Together, we have created a space that honours the community and exemplifies design excellence.
