Eastern underpinning complete at City Tattersalls Club Redevelopment

The eastern underpinning marks an important milestone in the redevelopment of the heritage-listed City Tattersalls Club in Sydney’s CBD. This mixed-use structure includes a 6-storey podium and a 50-storey hotel and residential tower.

Built in 1891 and designed by Sheerin and Hennessy, the City Tattersalls Club is state heritage listed as one of the few surviving clubs of the late nineteenth century.

We are working collaboratively with BVN (winners of the City of Sydney Design Excellence Competition for the tower) to integrate the project’s podium and tower components, and address the heritage design aspects of the redevelopment.

Our approach preserves the beautiful heritage interiors whilst bringing a new and exciting layer of contemporary design that organically integrates and complements the building’s existing features. Weaving together old and new, heritage and future vision.
