Mongarlowe Community Hall and Refuge Centre Officially Open

 

fjcstudio is honoured to have played a part in creating essential social infrastructure for Mongarlowe through the development of the new Community Hall and Refuge Centre.

This hall is the result of a community recognising the need for a safe place to shelter after the 2019–20 fires. Over four years, a small but dedicated group of locals met every fortnight, advocating tirelessly, submitting numerous grant applications, and, when funding was secured, engaged a fully local team to design and build the hall.

Congratulations Mongarlowe, a remarkable example of the spirit of collective action and mutual support.
