The Harrington Collection

The Harrington Collection

The Harrington Collection apartment and their interiors are defined by a sophisticated and contextual response within a series of buildings in the sensitive heritage setting of the Rocks, Sydney Cove (also Warrane). The heritage referencing architectural language of deep reveals and material authenticity are brought into the residences to create distinctive and timeless design.

Responding to their context, heritage streetscapes, and local topography which affords extraordinary views and unique aspects the buildings encourage a sense of belonging through close connections with its context. A place and a home rather than an apartment in an isolated tower.

The interiors design concept draws from the heritage architectural language of deep window and sill reveals, material authenticity and their local and historical context. The distinctive and unwavering design language of the apartments and common areas , with intricate geometry of the splayed stone elements and timber joinery, produces an elegant and timeless interior.

The joinery elements of pale sandstone toned timber veneers and iridescent stone are composed and assembled with great care and precision. These is a sense that every detail has been considered carefully, together with a real sense of craft in the making of these interiors. It is in the apparent simplicity of the material palette and the detailing of the built elements where a sense of permanence and significance is revealed. The design is uncompromisingly new and modern, but at the same time is made to fit respectfully into the sensitive heritage setting.
