Oxford and Foley continues to transform, as construction progresses on this ambitious revitalisation of Sydney’s creative precinct.

Designed to reinvigorate the Oxford Street strip between Hyde Park and Taylor Square, the project blends heritage restoration with contemporary architecture, offering dedicated spaces for culture, creativity, and industry.

The distinctive curving roof forms are almost complete, signalling a new chapter in the site’s evolution. These sculpted additions echo the rhythm of Oxford Street, aligning with the heritage parapet to preserve scale and character. The result is a dynamic conversation between old and new, where restored façades meet modern extensions in a carefully layered composition.

Alongside Oxford Street, Foley Lane is being redefined as a key pedestrian corridor. New through-site connections, drawn through the heritage form, are becoming legible, stitching together the surrounding urban fabric, improving neighbourhood permeability and inviting passers-by into reimagined laneway experiences.

Building 2 characterises the many challenges of this project, with stepped levels on all heritage floors, requiring innovative approaches to accessibility and usable floor space. The character of so many of these spaces, with riveted columns and stunning arched windows, will create compelling smaller scale tenancies bringing a diversity of occupants and increased footfall.

As this significant adaptive reuse project continues to unfold, Oxford and Foley is poised to become a vibrant destination and a revitalised working precinct. It preserves Sydney’s cultural identity through innovative adaptive reuse and urban renewal. More to come as we edge closer to completion.
