We envisaged the project to become the built focus of public life for the Craigieburn community and also sought to connect the architecture with the landscape that is being rapidly transformed by residential expansion.

Nunawading Hub is an open and inviting public building for a broad range of community activities and gatherings.

Wellington Shire council engaged fjmt to revitalise the historic precinct known as the Port of Sale into a multi-use cultural and civic hub. Originally designed by Stephenson & Turner as an office building in the late-modern brutalist style, the brief for its alteration encompassed redeveloping the precinct of shared multifunctional spaces and revitalised links to the local port, providing the coastal town with a new cultural and community heart.

The new curvilinear library, Yellamundie, was inspired by the river’s flow. As its sustaining arc creates eddies both calm and dynamic, so too the layers and flow of the new library create diverse spaces for everyone. The rippling surfaces of the new building invite movement and flow outside and inside.


The new UTS Central building represents a character that is uniquely UTS, and respects and responds to the urban context of the existing Campus infrastructure and the Broadway streetscape.

The Salamanca building is the first stage of Hobart’s Parliament Square redevelopment for the Tasmanian Government. It provides a new workplace for government agencies, Department of Premier & Cabinet, public parliamentary committee rooms and a new connection to the historic Parliament House, respecting and reinforcing its importance.

Forming part of the John Radcliffe Hospital complex in Oxford, and bounding an adjacent conservation area, the Wolfson Building extends from a constrained and sloped site, affording expansive views of the city and surroundings.
The building offers the UK’s first dedicated centre for prevention of stroke and dementia research.
